My abs/tc light is on all the time it's had new discs and pad's all round and a new abs ring on rear also when on lock it sounds as if the cv joints are clicking. has anybody else had any of these problems on a 94/5 classic
If it ain't broke hit it with a big hammer then it will be.

get the ecu read for faults could be the ciscous unit on the way out! that what happened to mine too the auto out too!!!

CV clicking is wear in the CV.

The ABS ring is bolted to the rear disk and cut into the front CV joint, so new disks make no difference, however if the ABS sensors have moved, possibly whilst fitting disks, then they will now read the excitor ring and so the systme doens't work.

You can blink test the ABS system yourself and diagnose common faults, the ECU is under the passenger seat, the diagnostic plug is blue and you short out the black and black/purple wires I think.  You also need to remove the blue reley under the seat, then read the codes form the ABS light.

Or you could try re-seating the front sensors within the swivel pin, if they have been pushed out at any time they won't work, or if they have come loose (you are supposed to fit a new securing ring if you move them).

Well after reading the code's all 14 of them and finding one thats not on the fault code list. I have now wiped them so tomorrow night i will recheck

Sometimes you find that, I have in the past too.  Also if you use a code-reader you can get different faults reported.

The usual suspect however. the ones you can fix, you should be able to read.

Well it turns out i need the o/s/f cable as mine is goosed then to get a viscous unit for the box

Are ytou sure the viscous is stuffed? jack up the front wheel and put your wheel nut wrench on the nuts.  Lena on the wrench and see if the wheel moves at all.  If it spins slowly then all is well, you should just about be able to slacken a wheel nut against the viscous unit, the harder you push the stiffer it gets.
