Guage Woes!
« on: January 20, 2010, 19:58:01 »
Started a new thread for this one!

Basically i found out that there was an overload in the system and the guages havent worked since, although they worked fine beforehand.

I have a spare set of guages, but need to know if i will need to do more than just replace these to get the bits working again!

Cheers

Dan

have you tried changing the voltage regulator behind the dash? they are only a few pounds.

not sure wot a 24v system has got to be honest, have you taken the dash out to see behind the dials? If it does have regulator its bolted to the back of the fuel/temp guage on my 12v s111. silver box with one green wire.

Not seen one, its just a whole sealed unit with 3 sets of spades coming off it, one for each guage.

Ok, this is odd.

Have been outside today and checked the resistance on the tanks, and they were fine, so we ran a new wire direct to the guage from the sender unit, and a direct feed from the batteries, and it shot up to full, even though it wasnt.

So am thinking i have 2 duff guages??
