More advice needed
« on: December 31, 2009, 16:34:58 »
Hi All,
I'm on the verge of buying the new galvo chassis for my s2, and wondering what the best process is for getting engine, gearbox and axles over to it. Space is limited to my single garage and a driveway, so I'll pretty much have to go from bare chassis to rolling chassis in a weekend.

Any suggestions?

BTW: Tried out my lovely new Xmas present of spanners, steering column is now separated- anyone around Northampton have a ball-joint spearator I can borrow?

Merry Xmas and happy New Year!

If you get as far as Rushden I've got a couple hidden in the shed somewhere.

get a long bolt, but it up to the stearing arm the balljoint goes through, And hit it with a lump hammer, the ball joint should pop out.
The easiest way to swap teh chassis, space permitting is to lift the body off in one go, and roll the chassis out from under it.
