1.8 Kseries engined hippo gearbox question
« on: November 26, 2009, 15:17:45 »
Hello,

Did the 1.8k series engined freelander have a Rover PG1 gearbox as per the Rover 200, MGF, Elise etc. OR was it a modified variant?

I only ask as I saw a question about it the other day and diddnt know, Someone was aksing about PG1 in a freelander, I thought it was different for the 4x4 stuff?

PS if it is the same iv got 2 PG1 gearboxes in my shed, genuine "lotus" ones..... (used)

It is a PG1 on the K-series and early diesels but the bellhousing casting is different to take the IRD
