I need to fit one to the front but have three to chose from  :-k  I'm assuming the rear on my SWB S3 is 1.4:7

Mark the gear, them mark and rotate the pinion. It should turn about 4 3/4 times for a 4.7:1 (series) diff or about 3 1/2 for a 3.54:1 (90/110, RRC, Disco) diff.

Hope this helps
