they have been good to me... until todsy, i went to declare my newly aquired roll cage and suspension lift and they said do you have an engineers report? i said no (what the hell is one of those) and they wanted to know how it affected breaking distances, top speed, torque levels, and so on and they wanted to know all these questions before they would insure me with modifications.

so i rang Adrian Flux, he told me a nice price with greeenlane cover and offroad cover all my mods declared for £550 3rd party... not bad for me being 21

Check your insurance police !!!

Adrian flux cover greenlanes. Most insurance companies will only cover highways. Greenlanes are byways.  Please don' shout at me, just check your cover.

I'd recommend Adrian Flux too, I'm with them for both house and car(s), in the process of making a house claim and no issues so far.

As I see it... long as insurance is paid, in date and for the reg on the vehicle then...
"NOTE FOR THIRDS PARTIES: Nothing contained in this certificate affects your rights as a third party to make a claim"
So should still be covered for 3rd party claims regardless and therefore legally insured to drive the byway without 'special' greenlane consideration in the policy. They'd will still pay up to 3rd parties if you had undeclared modifications, neglected to say you was born without eyes etc... they probably make moves to get their money back of course, but 3rd parties would be sorted.

Isn't Adrain Flux just a broker who just specialise in particular vehicle types that are outside the normal scope of normal brokers i.e vintage, custom, classic, 4x4, kit-cars. With their specialisation they able to broker with normal insurance companies. To me the actual policy seems no different to that you get anywhere else for normal vehicle...

http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/pdfs/policybooks/privatecar/PCEquityRedStar.pdf

That is my a.flux 4x4 policy for a 110 defender with all modifications declared. My 'classic' car insurance insurance for series 1 was same but doesn't incur no claims.  My specialised kit car insurance was simular 'normal' looking policy but with 'running board' and salvage and own repair rights added separately.

Hi mate. I can only go on recent experience with Peter Best Insurance Services. The staff are only to happy to help, as they've been doing it for years, friendly and cheaper than others i tried.
I had a complete debacle with the AA (not the drunk folk).
Some folk who advertised in Land Rover magazines, asked me why I would want to drive a Land Rover 110 Double-Cab Pick up, which left me very bemused.
Snowball, (who may be called Academy) is another Company I've had dealings with, but, they were gazumped on price.
Happy hunting.

i jus tried confused. com. The cheapest was £585 still £100 dearer than my current policy. £9999 was the dearest which is dearer than the value i put in and 89 companies wouldnt insure me according to there system which is interesting as half of them advertise in the various monthly landrover magazines and one of them is who i am currently with
and on the eigth day god created ..... Landrover
