Bio diesel for TD4
« on: June 04, 2009, 03:48:27 »
Any problem with using manufactured Bio diesel ( as opposed to tesco veg oil) for TD4?
Local to me is a supplier selling it for 90p a litre, proper pump and everything!.
There has to be a downside......................................................

LR (and BMW) state max of 5% mix in a Td4. Pumps and high pressure system is not suitable.

I'm lead to believe that all (or most) diesel sold in the UK is now a 5% biodiesel blend.

Which means our cars are carbon-neutral (so it won't be long until we're in the tax-exempt road tax class...?).
Some say that this is just a random collection of letters, and that it can only be
understood by Top Gear's tame racing driver. All we know is, it's called The Sig.
