Hi guys,

My car's interior is getting unglued around the windows, like old houseÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s wallpapers , I think itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s due to the sun and the hot temp.

Does anyone of you had faced such a situation and which could be a solution ?

I'm tinking about patching with new woven ??!! but i'm not sure about this choice.

theres loads around on various forums and even articles in the lr comics on how to fix this

i think simmonites sell a kit but i couldnt be sure

Devon 4x4 sell a repair kit for Ã‚Â£60-80 or so. It's your dashboard delaminating.

As far as I can recall, the repair kit is for a 300 dash - I don't remember reading about peeling dash's on 200s.

Where exactly is it coming apart Hichem - is it the side windows or the windscreen?

No ! it's in the rear left and right windscreen!
It's like an coming out old wallpaper :(

When my dash started lifting, I got a strip of aluminium, sprayed it black and screwed it down into the dash... if its any help!

Ah yes I see what you mean now.. I think the language barrier got us previously - I understand now that you're referring to the rear alpine window surrounds!
I have never come across the trim going like that (not hot enough here in UK)

The only thing I can think of is to take the trim off - I think you need to remove the upper rear seatbelt anchors to do so - and try something like sandwiching the trim between some thin aluminium strip either side (underneath and on top) holding in place with pop rivets - this may also serve to cover where the plastic has shrunk as well?

I had the same problem with the trim around the alpine windows
on my last Discovery, My problem was due to the rubber seals
being perished and allowing water in... :(

I got round it by sealing around the windows with clear silicon,
I then removed the trim around the inside of the windows and
re-stuck the loose trim back onto the backing with silicon sealer... :D

well i think this could be the only solution even if is not so goog to see!!!!
About the weather: Land Rover sold cars all around the world and in Africa it's almost all the time sunny and about 30Ã‚Â° and more hot.

i'm trying something like this but instead the silicon, i'm using hot glue.
