Just in case anyone is interested, I own a 1959 Series 2, 88", Diesel hardtop, it has been slightly modified with Series 3 wings, Parabolic springs, 750 x 16 SAG tyres on white 8 spoke wheels, it has a bull bar with two big spot lights mounted on it, I have fitted halogen headlights in place of the normal sealed beam units and just for that little extra i've fitted a row of square driving lamps just below the windscreen. It also has two work lamps on the back, and of course a fully functional and licensed CB installed.
Oh, and I've just put some checker plate wing tops and deep sills on it.
Sometime soon I'm building and fitting a snorkel using guttering downpipe, and a mushroom type intake.

Richard,

Yes thanks for that, I'd forgotten about the cubby box.

Unfortunately for me, I have to sell my Series 2 now, due to a slight cash flow problem, anyone interested let me know.

See the for sale Department.

Hi Frankie

Looking at the pictures on your webshot page for the latest laning trip, your series II looks extremly shiney. You sure you don't do the serious stuff in the Discovery

Does look good considering it's older than me

Lee,

Thanks for that, it's probably in better condition than I am as well as being nearly as old.

I don't use the Disco at all now for anything other than strictly normal stuff, don't want to get it broken, that's why I got the S2, do you get your muddy then?  :D
