Poorly tuned, or just standard
« on: August 02, 2003, 11:47:43 »
Petrovich, my old Petrol series2 is running rough since swapping the head....

or at least in my opinion it is, Col just tells me to stop being silly, but hey....

So far I have stripped and cleaned the carb, cleaned and reset the points, changed the HT leads and generally frowned at it a lot....

So what next ?  Regardless of what I try with the colourtune kit, or just playing it by ear I can get nothing but a yellow flame / black smoke from the exhaust...

Any ideas ?

Make sure your timing is right before you use the colourtune...  late ignition could cause those sort of symptoms.

You can use Colin's timing gun now, so you've got no excuse !
