Welding to the chassis???

Hello all,

Quick question I'm about to sort the bumper mounts after my 2" body lift.

First time I have welded to a Shogun..... I know to disconnect the battery but is there anything else, ecu .....???

SWB 3.0l V6

Remove as much as you can, battery, alternator and any ECUs you can reach.

Hi take the negative lead off or if you do a lot of welding get a battey safe like this i use one all the time

I just disconnect the battery(good time for a boost charge) and keep the earth lead from the welder as close to the welding area as possible, i've never had any problems with ecu's or the like.
