how does it work
« on: July 14, 2008, 12:32:23 »
Some time ago i purcahsed one of those t max type  12v compressors,, not used till this morning ( and still unused  )

Connected to batttery ok, connected airline ok, turned on ok,  but pumps sway quite merrily but no wind in the tyre  :-k    So after this  i thinks i should read the instructions   It says about if inflating the tyre  " check to make sure the deflater collar lock is disengaged"

What the blazes is "the deflater collar lock"     :? :?  Tried fiddling , twisting , pulling ect but nowt moves

  Anyone got one ???

Cheers for any tip s as  i stilll need to put some wind in my tyre

I've got one - fantastic piece of kit.

The deflator collar is the flat block piece just behind the bit you attach to the tyre, seen in this pic just below the battery clips.

It can be locked on to deflate the tyre so you might need to twist it to unlock it. You need to hold the brass piece closest to the block. You can still push it to deflate the tyre should you over inflate it.
