Great new Landrover wash in Basingstoke
« on: June 09, 2008, 16:39:16 »
Situated in the car park Behind Basingstoke train station,
I popped in there after work todayand took the disco for him to asess   I didnot think he would be intrested as "its tooooo dirty"
But good as gold they put some pre cleaner ? on it first then proceeded with the jet wash and a pretty thorough job -- all external body and glass, wheels, wheel arches, and a general good going over,  Then out with the soapy sponges followed by some waxy stuff and another rinse off, moved to a dryer spot, leathered off and cleaned the glass ( external ) tried to stop him putting on the tyre shine  But i was too late   So all in all a pretty good job,

Is advertised for £9      But said in future might be £12 ish as it took longer than a cleaner dirty car

Must admit mine was not dripping in mud, but after spending a day on the plains there was not much bodywork un touched by the chalky stuff

I know i shall be taking mine there whilst he is happy to do it for that price :D  I usually spend a tenner on jetwashes and then come home to do the rest on the drive ( dont usually use the tyre shine though  :^o  )

Sounds a bargain! My wife paid £25 in Norwich when she took her mud covered Freelander in for a wash  But they did vacuum out the inside too. Which, if you've ever seen the junk she carries around, you'll realise is no mean feat
