TD5 Intercooler onto TDi
« on: April 25, 2008, 20:18:44 »
Have read somewhere that TD5 intercoolers can be fitted to a TDi. Is there some power gain and has anyone done it?

It can be done but you'd have to figure out how to plumb it in
The Tdi intercooler has both its pipes coming from the same side of the engine
The Td5 intercooler runs either side of the rad
It can be done but you'd need to think about the pipe routing

Thats what I thought, I was looking at one on Eblag the other day and was thinking about doing it. Is there any gain with having a TD5 one though, is it large enough to make any difference?
