Aux Drive Belt
« on: April 06, 2008, 17:49:06 »
I have done something bit stupid, was cleaning engine bay yesterday and seem to have got some over spray from the degreaser on the drive belt, no obvious problems apart from at slow speed power steering goes very heavy presume the belt is slipping ,question is do i replace belt or will it clear away by itself

Its six of one, half-a-dozen of the other.... Shouldn't be a problem.

Degreaser? I put in on the belts on purpose, just wash it away with lots of water.  It might have softened the belt a little by now, just wash it and try it first.
