dodgy battery

my battery isn't holding a charge anymore it has been on sins i had the landy .it hasn't ever started well but now it struggles to turn the motor. it is 20ah 12 volt how hi can i go. i found one on eBay new 88ah.  am i rite in thinking that the A H is just the amount of 12 volt in the battery so the bigger the better?

20 AH sounds a bit low. Had a simular problem with my 90 300TDi. Found it was off a Rover 214. Got the correct battery now no probs. I get my batteries from HI-Q on Hewell Rd. Seem to be good quality and reasonable price.
