Twin Batteries
« on: March 18, 2008, 22:39:50 »
Just thought I would ask yet another Question !

Some Paj's have twin batteries.

How are they connected?

Is there a split charger in the circuit?

I don't have another battery, but there is obviously room there, so I thought I could fit my winch and have another battery.

There is a Paj in the scrapyard, and I could take what I need from that.

Thanks

David

Think I'd come up and see if the engine is worth having

The batteries are wired in parallel + to +, - to - with no split charger

The nature of split chargers make them a liability to use with a winch - seemingly charging the wrong battery at the wrong time  well that's a summery of many posts raised on here anyway.

Final wiring will depend on the type and amount of winching that you do or intend to do
