discovery central locking

on my 2001 td5 when left locked all week when i try and unlock it it doesnt you have to manually unlock it then it will lock and unlock fine on the fob any ideas why both keys do the same . thanks in advance colin
I'd like a woman dont know if i could eat a whole one but i know where i would like to start !!!

sounds to me like the fob battery might be on its way out ie: losing the code so when left a time it loses the code but once open and re locked it is re stored try a new battery in the fob
As a youth I could run up and down stairs all day now I'm older it takes me all day just to walk upstairs
