Help - How to disconnect pipe from in tank petrol pump
« on: January 16, 2008, 14:46:14 »
Hi Guys.

I currently have a hole in the metal petrol tank no my lpg converted disco 2.  I have removed the tank, and all the fillers/vent pipes, but I can't remove the engine feed pipe from the in tank pump. There is a green clip on the end of the pipe which attaches to both the pipe and the plastic pump.

Now I don't want to do anything drastic, but it is the last thing connected and I am started getting frustrated... an expensive combination....

You help please.

Many thanks

Ed

Its probably an original compression type jubilee clip where you need a tool to open or just poke a screw driver into it to open.

I would just cut the pipe and rejoin afterwards.
