FYI....a problem solved...
« on: January 09, 2008, 03:59:33 »
Had an interesting problem today, a friend lost his reverse on his Patrol manual box, RAC chap reckoned it was the selector that was [!Expletive Deleted!].......turned out to be the spring on a small sprung loaded gadget that bolts in from the left side of the housing next to the gear lever that stops you going from 5th straight into reverse. Only found it cos I had to take the gearstick out, on the way to dropping the gearbox, what a result!!. Hope this is of use to anyone that might have the same problem....cheers John.
