steering problems

the last time i did some off roading i  managed to damage my steering it wont self correct i mean were ever you leave the steering wheel she will go in that direction and if i stand still and turn the wheel lock to lock but then she stiffens up wen you try to center her can anybody give me any advise wot i need to check
i only go in as far as my nuts

check your stearing damper could be bent abit sits behind front axel
As a youth I could run up and down stairs all day now I'm older it takes me all day just to walk upstairs

Check all the steering components........, track rods, etc,

Something could be bent......  :cry:

thanks for the advise and it turned out to be the steering damper toook it off and all is well  apart from a loud screeching noise coming from the n/s/front wheel so im thinking maybe another wheel bearing this will be the 3 rd one on that wheel in about a year and a half not happy
i only go in as far as my nuts
