Early 90s Patrol - Any good?
« on: November 04, 2007, 22:09:08 »
Hi all.  I'm on the hunt for another LWB 4x4 after my '98 RangeRover inhaled its engine and gearbox last month.  My two main priorities are reliability and towing ability.  I had one with the range rover (3500kg) but evidently not the other.

Just after some general opinions from owners as to whether the tales of faultless Patrol reliability are true or not, and any other tips and things to look out for.  I'll probably be going for a diesel unless i can find a petrol with LPG.  Budget is as little as possible! (under £1500 if possible (will it be crap at this price?)).

Thanks
98 RR 4.6 (gone)

Patrol are keeping their price at the min so shop aroud for the best price. The 4.2 diesels are almost bullet prof from what i've heard & can pull a house aswell. I would ask on Diff lock & check out http://nissan4x4ownerclub.co.ukfor more info
I don't suffer insaity ! I enjoy it !!!
