Has anyone fitted a Defender gearbox (inc transfer box) into a Series.

What are the likely problems?

its a big conversion... usually ends up in a complete coil sprung hybrid. series uj's and props etc wont like the permanent 4 wheel drive, stuff like that

ashcroft do a conversion kit to mount a defender gearbox (giving you 5 speeds) to a series transfer box (giving you selectable 2/4wd).

You have to move the engine forward slightly to allow retention of standard props etc.
