Until you spike the side wall with a bit of a gate

Only thing that puts me off paying out for them - the potential damage you could (very often do) do them off-road

done over 40000 on mine in a year with hardly any wear , mostly on tarmac ,fully laden towing a 3.5tonne trailer , so they do last

i love bfg mud terrain, ours do virtually all thrashed tarmac travelling, and they just do not wearout, and drive very well onroad, plus once i do get in some mud they just keep pulling you along.
they are tops......
but i have to agree, if you do lots and lots off offroading i would go for the cheapies as it int gonna hurt quite as much when you rip one!

How many of those have been made in China, as most BFG's are now?
And are/or will they now be cheaper?

I'm killing mine with a V8 so I use AT on road and keep the MT in the shed.

They are damn good (MT) but not as good as a road tyre at the limit, especially in the rain.

And mine softened up over the first year, especially the sidewalls, so now they are better off-road but a bit wayward on it.

I loved my BFG MT's both on and off the road - one thing is, you had them fitted the wrong way round, i'd have thought at about £100 a corner the last thing you needed to do was give BFg free advertising as well!!!  :P

I too replaced my BFG's with about 8mm left oon them and i had done 57,000 miles on them, its very easy to collect the miles as these are well made tyres and you get a fair amount of rubber for 100 quid a corner! I tow heavy plant regularly often in the good old british rain and I wouldn't pick any other mud terrain
Land Rover Defender 130 with Hyd winch and Log splitter, also has just the odd light here and there!!!
