2005 Freelander TD4 - Brakes
« on: July 17, 2007, 07:56:12 »
I need to change the pads and possibly the discs on my wifes 2005 TD4 Freelander. I've done this before on a Merc A190 and found that the screws that hold the discs onto the hub were so tight I had to drill them out.

Anyone got any advice about changing the discs on the freelander, such as bolt torque settings etc

Regards, Rich

Did mine recently, no probs just use an impact screwdriver to remove the retaining screw, 12mm bolt heads on the caliper and 17mm on the caliper carrier.

Pads and discs from Paddocks just over 50 quid.

Easy job took about 1:30 to do both sides including a coffee and a rolly half way through.
