Hi,
This months LRO mag features engine changes, I like the look of the

TGV HS 2.8 Diesel anybody any experience of costs reliability etc ?
I would have it professionally fitted .

My only worry replacing an engine is that everything else starts to wear quickly go on the car ?

The car is currently a M plate 1995 300tdi disco with 220 thou miles on clock. Nothing is really wrong with the car at the moment and considering the mileage it's done has been extremely reliable compared to a lot of other peoples it seems, however I am wary that good things can't go on forever.

As far as I'm aware the TGV, or whatever its called, is simply a bored out 300tdi which has the important bits strengthened due to the increase in torque. I suggest that you speak with Nene Valley as they have fitted one to a 110.

LRO seems to rate the engine though.

Personally speaking I quite fancy the GMC 6.2 V8, but then again I'm a sucker for big American V8's.
It's just a pity that the transmission's not really up to it.
