Difflock Light Switch
« on: June 17, 2007, 21:37:43 »
My diff lock works, but the light doesn't.  I proved today that the problem is the switch by disconnecting the two wires, shorting them out and turning the ignition on, the difflock light came on, that's the first time in 2 and half years of owning the car that I have seen it on!
So, do I need to buy a new switch or is there a chance that the old one can be made to work again?

Try pulling the switch on and just testing that with a multi meter (can get one for about £6 from argos), or even cheaper with a spare bulb or similar, just to see if its that.

If its the switch itself, try getting one from a scrapy, just test that one too before leaving with it.
