priming lever

ive got 2 discoverys and the priming lever on the liftpump dosent seem to work [ie no resistance] ive even turned the engine with a spanner to see if i could get it in the cam, am i doing something wrong :?

are you trying to bleed it up then? if you are then it *should* work but if your just seeing if it is working without loosening off a bleed line the diaphragm may be being held off by the pressure in the line?
if its not pumping when you are trying to bleed it then it may be one of the valves is stuck or a pipe blocked

u need turn the engine over so it is at the postition where it isnt pumping off them cam so then you can actualy prime by hand
