did post this is another ongoing topic, but as it has not been resolved,i thought i would have a try at starting a new thread...
the car in question is a 2000 grand cherry (WJ series),it concerns the drivers seat, all function operate as they should apart from the rear rise/fall of the seat, the button works and the seat moves a very small amount and you can hear it "click",so power, switch and motor seems to be OK, but the seat will just not move :?
any tips/pointers will be much appreciated

It sounds like it's jammed somewhere or the motor is.

If you have the seat in the right position already I wouldn't worry about it.... could cost a fortune to fix, and for what ? How many times do you really need to move the seat from your normal driving position ?

On second thoughts, maybe you shouldn't answer that

sounds like that is what the problem is....
however,as i'm 6 foot,and m wife's 5 foot 3" the seat does need adjusting quite often,even with the 2 seat memory function,the seat wont budge
