A chap at work is thinking about buying a diesel Freelander but is scared of the media muppets talking about £400 road tax for 'evil' 4x4 vehicles.

Can anyone please tell me what the current rate is on a pre 2001 and how the new fees will affect a post 2001. What are the emmisions and what band are they?

My 2000 reg went up the pricely sum of £5.

Need to know what year and what engine is fitted to be exact.

Just taxed mine its a 2002 td4 & cost £112 for 6 months :twisted:
