Front Facing Child Seats in a 200 disco
« on: November 13, 2004, 21:03:04 »
just had a whale of a time in mothercare today (slight sarcasm in that sentence)

tried 4 front facing seats in the disco, only one fitted and even then ONLY in the front seat

the problem?

the webbing between the floor mounting and the catch for the seat belts is too long...

they were either pressed against the bottom of where the belt is fed through or it was at a funny angle (both a no no in mothercare's eyes, and who am i to argue).. oh and the seats are too spongy so when they pull tested it the seat sank into the disco seat...

finally one fitted in the front...

britax freeway

which isnt a reclining chair, but it can recline somewhat if you recline the disco seat too..

they said that they always have difficulty with fitting baby seats in landrovers, mainly spongy seats and long seat belts...

actually in one the length of the belt was nearly too short!

my god!

so we got a good un but not one we had our eye on

hrmph
