Have any of you guys been offroad in a 80 series landcruiser (that's the one from early to mid 90's)?

Just wondering how they are to drive around in this country on lanes and P&P days. Clearly they have a great reputation for overlanding and stuff in USA where there is plenty of room, but just wondering if you can realistically have much fun on them over here.

Also, what's the biggest tyre size you can fit without a sus lift?
