« on: January 22, 2007, 19:54:03 »
Howdy all, bit of a green oval man meself, so never dabbled with jeeps (yet :? )  Any how, me brother inlaw has got himself a Grand cherokee Ltd V8 Quadra drive, 2004 reg if that lot means something to you  ??
His request is  --- he "needs" a suspension lift.  dunno why as its never been off road so far, but keeps wanting to come out to play,  nothing more than wide open kinda places like salisbury plain ect,   it is his every day car and uses it for business also, so good road manners will still be required afterwards,    also whats it like to fit ?? i have done qiute a few landys but not a jeep ( but thinks i will be soon   )     Many thanks for any tips/suggestions,
TD5 with a few Tweaks ;o)
a bit more fuel friendly than the V8

The main problem with WJs and lift is that they have teeny weeny wheel arches, so you need a fair amount of lift even for moderately sized tyres. That said, the Americans have started to pay sensible money for them, so they're getting modded more and more. You'll pay top dollar for a lift over here, so importing one is the way to go, especially with the silly exchange rate ATM. Have a look at Kevin's Offroad, who specialise in Grand Cherokee bits. Rusty's also do a few WJ lifts. 4WD and Quardratec probably do also.
There is one guy I know of in the UK who has a lifted Grand and gets on the forums - have a look for MikeWJUK (I think thats his username).
