loss of lights one one side only
« on: December 30, 2006, 20:49:18 »
Howdy all,   i seemed to have lost the nearside front side light( the little bulb)  and the near side rear tail light :?   the rear brake lights work fine as do the front headlamps ( as well as early disco lights work, anyhow   )   Have checked bulbs, there ok, but on further probing the power to the front side light( little bulb ) and the rear tail light seems to be missing :-k    I have checked the fuses in the main fuse panel under the dash, unless there are any more ??  any clues ??  as the mot is looming in a week or so #-o

  P.S its a V8 disco 1990 manual 3.5 efi

Check you have power going to the fuse. if so check you have power coming out of the light switch. you can do this if you dont have a meter by using a spare 12v bulb and a couple of lenths of wire joined to it one on the little metel pad at the bottom of the bulb and one on the meter side.( hope i am not teaching you to suck eggs by the way)

Never too old or wise to suck on the occasional egg    As sometimes we all overlook the "obvious things"    I shall have a wander around the areas mentioned with me power probe (marvelous invention) when  the wind n rain settles a tad,  Many thanks for the tips , Keep um coming
