« on: November 08, 2006, 10:03:35 »
Hi guys and gals, after 110,000 miles the time has come to replace the water pump on my 1996 4.6 HSE. Any one got any tricks or tips, a bullet point dummys guide will do. Will I need any special tools :?:

You help is most appreciated.

Difflock do the BFS (big ***in spanner) you need to get the fan off and out of the way.  Otherwise a 36mm wrench, and you can hold it in place with a ring spanner over one of the bolt heads on the front.

Otherwise it's just a case of making sure you know which bolt goes in which hole, otherwise you'll end up with a long bolt and a short hole.
