Land Rovers, A love hate relationship?
« on: August 22, 2006, 11:27:27 »
I thought this is the perfect place to vent my spleen before I go out side and take an Gas Axe to the whole damn thing!

Anyway, This morning I got a call from the company who had already informed me that my gearbox was (in there own words) S***ed (Which to be fair is putting it mildly), and after waiting 3 weeks for a recon unit they rigged it up to test it. Low and behold my overdrive exploded. Oh wait it gets worse, when they stripped it down they found that there were broken teeth in the gearbox casing. Apparantly the recon box was supplied with new gears but some idiot never cleaned the bits of old gear out of the box. Wonderful.

To top it off the fuel tank is complete scrap despite looking entirely healthy, and the front brake cylinders need replacing.

Ah Not the best of mornings. Sometimes I don't know why I bother
(I do really, I love the damn thing. Although sometimes it likes to raise my blood pressure :D )
