Transmission heat?
« on: July 02, 2006, 23:06:43 »
Hi

I've just been laning in Wales this weekend in my '93/K Hilux Surf - and on the way home (M54/M6/M42) I noticed that in the centre console (where you can keep coins etc) it was very hot - as I dropped the speed under 80 it cooled down.  I had a litre of transmission oil put in on Friday - the gearchange is excellent but I hadn't noticed it before.

Is this something that happens on these cars or is it something I need to check?

Thanks.

Andrew.
