« on: December 13, 2005, 09:41:51 »
I am compiling a database/list of all the one ton 109 lcivillain androvers, series iia and iii. If you have chassis number prefix 229 (iia) or 266 (iii) and would like me to add your details to the database please contact me. I have no intention of commercial gain through this, and all info will only be shared with permission.
Thanks for your anticipated help.
I am looking for the vehicles with the 2.6 petrol, 900x16 tyres, low ratio transfer box etc, as used by electricity boards and as breakdown trucks etc.
Full chassis details are -

Series IIa
229 - 2.6 Home Market RHD
222 - Export RHD
223 - Export LHD
224 - Completely Knocked Down RHD
225 - CKD LHD

231 - 4 Cylinder Petrol 2286cc Home Market RHD
(22  Built in "Mist White", all still belived to be in atomic research/RAF use)

Series III
266 - 2.6 Home Marrket RHD
267 - Export RHD
268 - Export LHD
269 - CKD RHD
270 - CKD LHD

You can view more information on my website - http://www.geocities.com/onetonlandrover/index.html

Yeah, around that - most of them have long since been scrapped or just vanished, not really the most practical motors.
