Looking at a used 3.0 V6 on a V plate '99. All seems pretty good except the rear diff lock, when I press the button (in 4 Lo) there is a buzzing from the rear of the car and the rear diff lock icon flashes on the dash. Should it go solid and stop buzzing as it doesn't on this car!

Have you moved the car forwards while it's buzzing to see it'll go in?
If it's not lined up correctly then a bit of movement should let it connect.  Wink

Tried on the test drive but didn't move far, assumed it was not working. Do you normally have to move forward a fair bit to get it to engage?

Also, honest opionns, what are they like off road compared to say a Disco 1 or Defender 90? 4x4 System seems very good but what is ground clearance like?

you can fit bigger tyres much easier than on a disco. 31's with no mods. Bit of a lift on the suspension and decent tyres and you should go most places any other near standard 4x4 will go. The downside is the independent front suspension, the big plus is the rear locker.. Rasp
