Hi folks anybody know whats involved in getting a bobtail range rover throu the sva test and what its going to be like getting insureance on it ?.

Sorry i dont know i have aked this question on the disco forum.
But someone local to be has mentioned that it isnt needed if you just bob it he went on to mention a points system i wont go into here as it was v lengthy

i should have thought it would need one to be legal as its a chassis modification. just make sure everything you do is to a high standard and i would have thought it will sail thru.

since you have to declare your mods to insurance sureterm direct is pretty good with mods and off roading try them as for bobbing it self i would poss give 2 mins of your time and ring vosa if they say no need to declare go with what the say they the people who say if your car is roadworthy or not  Rolling eyes

VOSA Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, they best to talk to just dont give your reg cause they are the poeple who allow your mot and vic check if they say your car not on road its not full stop however u can ask a fellow mud clubber who has bobbed and see what they say

hells bells now i am showing my age it means going to the top/ asking the main man in this case VOSA.

there was a saying ask the organ grinder not the monkey years ago there was an organ grinder on street corners and he had a monkey people would listen to the music and look at the monkey and give him a penny/ so the saying is ask the organ grinder not the monkey came about (ask your dad or g/dad i hasten to say it was before my time.
I know what your next question is what is a penny ask dad and g/dad im not going into that one but i do remember them
