Im just  about to change ird , diff , gearbox can anyone tell me what the best oil to use is and any thing else i may need
to know. huh

If i remember there is no drain plug on a freelander rear diff,

i think there are all sealed diff are def and think ird unit may be

I used 100ml syringe and piece of plastic tube one suck and sifted out and then refilled with syringe as not enough room to get bottle up there Everybody dance now

Gearbox oil = MTF94, IRD and Rear diff = Syntrax Universal oil (used by my local Landrover Dealer) as long as it meets the Freelanders recommendations (Intermediate Reduction Drive
Texaco S5 75W90; Specification: API GL5
Rear Differential
Texaco Multigear 80W-90 ETL 7441; Specification:
API GL5)

IRD plug is hard to get too and Landrover use a special offset tool....prob help warming her up a bit on a run to make the plugs easier to remove.
