I have a 2003 Landcruiser with the D4D engine and my local dealer has sent me a letter saying the Timing Belt needs replacement. They say 5yrs/60,000mls but the handbook states 6yrs/60,000mls.Is it a money making exercise or are they being cautious. The car has done 53,000mls and will be 5yrs old next week. any thoughts welcome
Many thanks
Roy

It might be that the main stealer has changed the interval since your manual was printed.

I know fiat did this with the bravo

But with a cambellt can you run the risk?
